Late Night TV

A few nights ago my partner and I were cuddled up together on the sofa watching the telly when a new programme came on called "The Sexual Therapists".

A couple having problems with their sex life have video cameras installed all over hteir home and their every move is recorded and analysed by two sex therapists who then meet the couple and give them tips and advice.

Sounds ok so far right? Imagine our horror when we knew the couple in this particular episode! There are some things that you should never have to see, and an acquaintance having sex is one of them! How on earth will we be able to look them in the eye when we next bump into them? There is such a thing as too much information you know!

Call me British, but I think that some things should be kept private. If you're having problems, by all means consult a sex therapist but please, PLEASE, don't make a TV show out of it!

A Female's Use of the Internet

The internet is not always a good thing.

For years I had put off getting the internet at home, as I knew what I would probably end up using it for. This view was reinforced by a guy I once worked with, who said that most men are pre-programmed to look at porn on the internet (at home), and that resistance to this was futile because of its easy availablity. His parting words of wisdom were only get the internet at home if your (female) partner will use it more than you. In short I think he believed that the fairer sex would use this tool of communication in a much more constructive manor. Oh how mis-guided he was...

One day after work not so very long ago...

Partner: I have found these blogs at work

Me: What blogs?

Partner: Ones that describe deep desires and fantasies

Me: Have they got pictures?

Partner: Yes some do, but they are not like that

Me: So you are saying, you are sort of looking at porn at work?

Partner: No, as I said these are blogs describing feeling and issues often associated with sex, love, lust and dreams

Me: Why would anyone do that?

Partner: It allows people to express themselves to others anonymously

Me: Strange people, must all be women, a bloke would never do such a thing...

Partner: A lot of the popular ones are written by blokes...

The rest as they say is history and I'm now contributing to a joint one. So here goes...

Our First Post

I've been reading adult blogs for a few months now, and I've decided to start my own. I suggested that my partner and I could make this a joint venture, and to my surprise he's agreed!

I'm fairly shy when it comes to life and saying/doing what I want, so I'm hoping that this blog will help me to open up a little. Somehow I can write for hours (I've kept a journal for years) about the way I'm feeling (sex being the main issue here)/what I want etc etc , but actually telling someone is very difficult for me. A blog may be a way to help me bridge that gap.

My partner on the other hand cannot be bothered to write anything down! Instead he asks random questions and becomes a little obsessed about things until he gets answers. Answers I'm not always able to give. This blog will hopefully help him to find the answers to life's many questions.
